Have you ever wanted to start woodworking but don’t know where to begin? Or do you just want to learn the core fundamentals or brush up on your skills? This is the class for you! Join us at ReFab Lab workshop for our first level woodworking class.
In this closely supervised workshop you will learn and use foundation hand and power tools, going through all the steps to build a small standard project from scratch. The course enables you to work with tools safely and practice techniques with a simple project during class.
Wood is a wonderful material to work with and this is the first step in your journey to exploring your ideas and creativity with woodworking.
Join us to learn foundation woodworking tools, safety and effective building techniques.
Throughout the class we will apply our acquired knowledge and skill building to a small project that will be finalized by the end of class.

All skill levels welcome! - We accept everyone and this course is suitable for both beginners with zero experience as well as the more experienced.
Materials - All materials are included in the ticket price
Accessibility - The course room is wheelchair accessible, however the bathroom is not to code for wheelchairs.

Meet your teacher:
Sten Selander is a senior consultant, educator, and hands-on maker with a long career spanning design, production, and innovation across creative industries. Sten has a solid foundation in traditional craftsmanship, with formal training in cabinet making, furniture design, and fine arts from Capellagården, as well as practical experience managing woodworking workshops.
His approach combines strategic thinking with material understanding—bridging concept and execution. In his courses at Refab Lab, Sten focuses on practical skills, process, and problem-solving, drawing from both industrial experience and traditional craft methods.
