BEGINNER WOODWORKING COURSE-  PART A  

Course description: 

We created Intro to Woodworking A with the absolute beginners in mind. If you're starting from zero, you’ll find clear explanations, step-by-step demonstrations, and no-pressure guidance to help you build confidence from day one in a safe and encouraging space. But this isn’t just a beginner’s course — we will also explore more advanced building and joinery techniques as you progress. Even if you have some experience you will gain new skills, insights, tips, and tricks to take your wood working to the next level.

In this hands-on beginner course, you’ll do more than just learn the “how” of basic woodworking skills needed to build projects. You’ll gain a broader understanding of woodworking techniques that goes beyond simple instructions. The lessons focus on the “why” and “when” behind tools and methods, giving you deeper insight into the craft. The projects and skills you develop here are designed to be scalable, equipping you with the knowledge to take on a wide range of woodworking projects long after the course ends.

Woodworking can be a relaxing and fulfilling activity that turns into a lifelong hobby for many people. The intent of this course is to provide you with the physical and safety skills associated with wood processing in a small group intimate setting.  While also introducing you to the design process and problem solving it is a great way to give your brain a much needed holiday if your life requires a lot of computer screen time 

Requirements:

No Prior Woodworking Experience Required: This course is designed for learners at all levels, from complete beginners to those with some experience who want to deepen their skills. We start with foundational techniques and gradually progress to more advanced concepts.

Open Mindset and view mistakes as opportunities: Woodworking requires patience and then precision, which will come with time.  We are not looking for perfection from you in this course. We look forward to imperfections so we can teach you how to solve them!
